This year, the already traditional event with the city historian Wolfgang Feyerabend took place again. This time, the topic of the tour was “Berlin and the Manns” and thematically included not only Thomas Mann, the author of one of the most famous German literary works of the 20th century, but also the life of his family in Berlin, as well as that of other writers. The focus was on Charlottenburg, one of the most vibrant areas of Berlin in terms of art and literature, both after and before the 1920 merger to form Greater Berlin. In addition to portraying the lives of numerous personalities, the exhibition also focused on the development of the district in the 1920s and subsequently, especially after 1933. Fortunately, many houses survived the Second World War, so that we could still walk along numerous original sites.
