The DAAD-Freundeskreis Hamburg discovered the multifaceted history and lively cultural diversity of the capital during the trip to Berlin. The two-day tour on August 17th, 2024 and August 18th, 2024 offered numerous unforgettable experiences.
Our adventure began with an exciting tour of the Government district, offering us fascinating insights into Berlin’s historical, political, and religious development. The next stop was the newly opened Humboldt Forum, whose exhibitions gave us fresh perspectives on art and culture. The highlight was the breathtaking view over the city, which we enjoyed from the Forum. We ended the evening with a relaxing dinner in a traditional German restaurant.
On the second day, we visited the Reichstag, where we walked through the famous dome and admired the spectacular panorama of Berlin. Afterward, we explored the culinary delights around Friedrichstraße and visited the historic St. Mary’s Church. We even had some time left to shop for souvenirs in the city center and soak in the vibrant atmosphere of Berlin.
