Berlin, 18. January 2025 16:00 to 0:00

The regional group Berlin-Brandenburg invites to a visit of the Zeiss-Großplanetarium. Together, we will first explore the exhibition The Universe to Touch, and afterwards, we will watch a presentation in the main hall on the topic DARK UNIVERSE – A Cosmic Journey into the Unknown.

From the webpage:

The Zeiss-Großplanetarium is Europe’s most modern science theater. It was built as one of the last representative structures of the former GDR on the occasion of Berlin’s 750th anniversary in 1987. Its outer dome, with a diameter of 30 meters, shapes the Berlin skyline. A large planetarium hall with 307 seats and a cinema hall with 160 seats provide space for exciting explorations of the world of astronomy and science. Thanks to the new Fulldome technology, scientifically demanding topics can be presented impressively and entertainingly. Music, culture, and theater also expand the thematic range.

For the presentation, there is the option to rent an audio guide (english, spanish and other options), but there will also be a live lecture of approximately 35 minutes, which will be in German, and unfortunately no translation will be possible.
