Follow-up Events EU Ideas Lab

The EU Ideas Lab on the topic of right-wing populism was continued. Three follow-up events via Zoom took place in February and March 2022.

In June 2021 DAAD Alumni & Friends and partners organized a remote EU Ideas Lab on the topic “Democratic civil society under pressure in the face of rising right-wing populism”. With a focus on Germany, Austria and Hungary, participants discussed how right-wing pressure was performed and which strategies of resistance exist. They developed promising ideas and impulses. Afterwards DAAD Alumni & Friends took up the strongest ideas and invited various DAAD alumni to participate in three English speaking follow-up events via Zoom in February and March to develop these ideas further. The workshops were financed by the DAAD with funds from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
