The Berlin Regional Group visited the Peter-Behrens-Hall, a former turbine hall of the AEG company, which was built around 1912 and is now used by the Technische Universität Berlin.

The whole world in one garden: more than 100 years ago, this concept prepared the ground for what is today still a unique garden complex affiliated to the FU Berlin. In a guided tour the participants learned a lot about history, structure of the garden and the original and current research. It was also possible to include plants from home countries of the participants into the tour.
Dieses Jahr fand wieder die zur Tradition gewordene Veranstaltung mit dem Stadthistoriker Wolfgang Feyerabend statt. Diesmal stand die Führung unter dem Motto "Berlin und die Manns" und beinhaltete thematisch neben Thomas Mann auch das weiterer Literaten.
Ecovillage Sieben Linden has the aim to realize collaborative and holistic sustainable lifestyles that connect a small ecological footprint with a high quality of life. To that ‚far-out‘ place 15 international DAAD students went on a two-days‘ field-trip.
The Berlin Regional Group of the DAAD-Freundeskreis organized a guided tour through the Berlin House of Futures, known as Futurium. The Futurium offers a platform to discuss the possible futures for humans, nature, and science.
On a weekend in January nine DAAD students took part in a specially designed workshop on ‚Introducing Improvisational Theater‘
Shortly before Christmas, the Berlin regional group met for a Christmas guided tour of the ‘Neue Palais’ followed by a visit to the Christmas market.
