In March 2024, Freundeskreis members and DAAD scholarship holders from Düsseldorf, Aachen, Bonn and Cologne traveled to Trier.
The Freundeskreis group explored Trier, the oldest city in Germany, whose Roman buildings have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1986. The program began with a stroll through the old town. In the evening, the group met for dinner and a chat in a traditional Moselle wine bar. The next day, the central sights of Trier, such as Porta Nigra, Kaiserthermen, Konstantinbasilika and the Liebfrauenkirche, were visited as part of a city tour. At the end of the trip, the group had lunch together before returning home with many new impressions and contacts.
